在澳洲院校完成至少两年的科学、技术、工程、数学、ICT类的博士学位或研究型硕士学位，将获得5分的额外加分。

新政将适用于一般技术移民项目（包括189独立技术移民、190州担保技术移民和489偏远地区技术移民）。
